FRIDAY STUDIO GROUPSFriday Studio is a group of community artists interested in studying arts with a live model. They meet several times a month in the Paramount Visual Arts Center Studio B and work in their medium from a live model. Please refer to the VAC Calendar as to dates and times. Wednesdays, April 22,29, May 6 and 13 – 10:00-12:30 with Bonnie Schwictenberg Experience Level: Intermediate, some prior watercolor experience required Learn a unique way to liven up your watercolors using guilding! Bonnie will take you step-by-step through a watercolor painting, to which you will apply foil for shimmer and shine! This truly is a must try experience for watercolor artists! Tuition doesn’t include the price of materials.

Saturday, April 25, 9am-4pm with Suzann Beck Learn Suzann’s tricks and tips on creating beautiful full-color oil portraits in a single session! Class will begin with a demonstration lecture, where Suzann will walk you through her entire process from drawing, under-painting and painting. The afternoon will give you the opportunity to work with a model and complete a painting with Suzann’s guidance and hands-on assistance. You will leave the workshop with a completed portrait! Tuition: $125 (plus the cost of materials) Experience Level: Intermediate, some prior drawing and painting experience preferred

Lian teaches basic techniques such as compositions and coloring, and his unit methods including “Color Pouring and Blending” and “Paint Around”. There are 4-6 short demos each day with student practices between. In critic Lian helps students by touching up their paintings. At end of workshop students may be able to finish two paintings, or learn enough techniques to complete them later.
