Exhibition Description

Annually, the Paramount incorporates a special exhibition into a window display that features the work of retail artists and community partners. Beginning this November (through December), the 2023 special exhibition will connect to three long-standing partnerships celebrating the work created by:

  • The Central MN Woodcarvers Association
  • Central Minnesota Woodworkers Association
  • Mid-Minnesota Association of Wood Turners

Each of these organizations gather monthly at the Tech Site, located in Waite Park. This space is a fully equipped woodworking center that hosts professional workshops, art classes, along with membership meetings. In addition, these organizations also teach courses at the Paramount Center for the Arts – downtown location and provide demonstrations throughout the year during community supported Art Crawls.

  • Learn more about our Tech Site noted in the exhibition.
  • View our Expanded Visual Arts Studios Offering Classes with Skilled Artists (Lower Level and Tech Site).

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the expansion of the Paramount’s programming to include arts education, with a suite of studios in our lower level. In commemoration of the anniversary, a new art exhibition was installed in the lower level (two main hallways) designed to highlight the Paramount’s visual arts offerings connected to classes, our retail store, art exhibitions, and community engagement opportunities. All three wood-based art organizations are also featured in the exhibition.
