Growing Art-FULL! Round 1

Artboard 1Time to celebrate! Each of the classes from the first round of Growing Art-FULL! had their final performances to demonstrate to friends and family all they had learned.  Artists David DeBlieck and Leigh Dillard led a large group of Benedict Village residents in movement exploration for 10 weeks, Garrett Lathe and Marcelyn Smale made music with residents of Good Shepherd Apartments along with some community members, and Ken Ferber and Sandy Fabian developed clay skills with participants from Whitney Senior Center. These activities are funded by a grant from Aroha Philanthropies. It is a research grant shared with 15 other agencies across the United States developing effective arts opportunities for those 55 and older. Sessions will now rotate and begin in May for Round 2!! Congratulations to all who participated!!
